This page is dedicated to presenting interesting tidbits which can help to educate our students about some of the more intriguing aspects of martial arts. To ensure that classtime can stay focused on the physical side of training, it’s our hope that the information presented here will enable you to absorb some of the non-physical components, such as our motto, frequently used pressure points, and other factoids that can help to enrich the learning experience. For the novice practitioner, we have also included video of the first three basic forms of patterned movement (called "hyung" in Korean) and a tutorial showing the proper way to tie your belt.

We are on a quest to be our best... Kuk Sool !
Find the center of your belt by folding it in half (X). Place the center of the belt near your navel and wrap both ends behind your back, bringing them around to the front. Cross the free end on your left (1) past your midline first and repeat with the other end (2), folding it under all layers of the belt at your waist. Next, make a loop with the lower end and pass the upper end down in front, bringing it up through the loop. Pull on both ends to tighten the knot.
